Plaza de Magdalena wedding ~ A Celebration for Everyone
Joelle and Daniel’s day started with a beautiful wedding mass at Mission Basilica. While the newlyweds did a gorgeous photo shoot around Mission San Juan Capistrano, guests headed over to Plaza de Magdalena to kick off the celebration. They were welcomed into an open courtyard with papeles picada hanging overhead, a cool breeze blowing through while a Mariachi band serenaded the crowd. After cocktail hour everyone entered Magdalena Room, observing breathtaking decor of vintage mirrors, blush coupe glasses, semi naked wedding cake, and lush flowers with ruscus adorning the tables. Family members shared touching toasts of love, friendship and devotion. The groom surprised his brother by having him do his own First Dance with his wife, as not all the family were able to attend his brother’s wedding the year before. Many eyes welled up with tears as the groom shared “We are here to celebrate everyone”. Guests dined on sirloin and salmon and then flocked to the dance floor for awesome tunes from the 90’s. It was truly a celebration for everyone.
